Leadec in Hungary welcomes its 700th employee
Annamária Soós started her new job with Leadec on January 2, 2019 as a packer in Szentgotthárd, Hungary. During her first change of shift, Leadec Management gave her a personal congratulatory greeting. She had become the 700th employee of Leadec in the country.
The Hungarian Leadec team has made history: In mid-November, Leadec signed a contract for facility management at an automotive plant in Szentgotthárd. The contract requires Leadec to recruit a lot of new staff – around 150 new people in total - and fast!
Leadec had been supporting the automotive industry in Hungary for more than two decades, recently attending their first major trade fair, at Automotive Hungary in Budapest in October 2018. This new contract in Szentgotthárd was a big step for the company in the region, and a sign of how important technical services had become for manufacturing industries in Hungary.
On January 1, about 60 forklifts and electric tractors were at the site on time and ready to start working, as well as many of the new staff. This included Annamária – the 700th employee for Leadec in the country. The first products have already started rolling off the production line - meaning Leadec can proudly say that these were produced by the direct support of the entire team.
Leadec now employs 728 people across Hungary, including the 218 people at the site in Szentgotthárd. Ferenc Dákai, Managing Director in Hungary, said: "This is an outstanding achievement of the employees and managers at the Szentgotthárd site and the central departments in Győr."
