Leadec’s top position in Sustainalytics’ ESG rating improved

Stuttgart/Germany, 09/21/23 – Leadec, the leading global service specialist along the entire life cycle of the factory, has improved further in Sustainalytics’ independent ESG rating. The risk of significant financial impact from ESG criteria is now rated as negligible. Leadec achieved a score of 8.4 in fiscal year 2022 and currently ranks 109 out of 15,491 companies.

For the second time in a row, Leadec has improved its ranking with the Sustainalytics rating agency and made it into the highest category of risk levels of companies with “negligible risk.” This is achieved by only around two percent of the companies in the rating. In the commercial services sector, the service specialist for factories ranks second worldwide with 8.4 points on a scale of 0 to 100 points.

Sustainability in action

“Even though we already had a very good ranking, we were able to improve even further. This was only possible thanks to a clear common objective and many small steps in all areas. This shows once again that we really practice sustainability at Leadec. With our Green Factory Solutions, we also support our customers in achieving their own sustainability goals,” says Markus Glaser-Gallion, CEO of Leadec.

Sustainalytics, a Morningstar company, looks at ESG indicators from eight areas. Leadec achieved the highest possible rating of “negligible risk” in all eight categories assessed and improved further compared to the previous year. This underlines that Leadec is a reliable partner for anyone committed to sustainability.

In the categories of corporate governance, human resources, carbon own operations, and measures to prevent bribery and corruption, the company scored even higher than in the previous years’ ratings. Sustainalytics’ rating includes two perspectives. On the one hand, the risks to which Leadec is exposed as a service specialist for the factory (risk exposure) and on the other, what measures the company takes to manage them (risk management).
