Sustainability Report 2025: Leadec reaches important milestones

Stuttgart, Germany, October 15, 2026 – The Sustainability Report 2025 from Leadec highlights progress in climate protection, workplace safety, and sustainable growth. Despite a challenging market environment and high regulatory requirements, the company was able to reduce its own greenhouse gas emissions and expand its portfolio of sustainable solutions for industry.

During the reporting year, Leadec reduced its greenhouse gas emissions by 10.8 percent compared to the previous year and cut waste volume by over 45 percent. The recycling rate rose to 73.4 percent. At the same time, Green Factory Solutions, a specialized service portfolio that supports customers in decarbonization, energy efficiency, and the circular economy, achieved significant growth with revenue of approximately 140 million euros.

“Sustainable practices strengthen our future viability and that of our customers. Even under challenging market and regulatory conditions, we have consistently pursued our sustainability goals and made significant progress. The strong performance of our Green Factory Solutions demonstrates that economic success and sustainable transformation go hand in hand,” says Markus Glaser-Gallion, CEO of Leadec.

Ratings and occupational safety

The continuous progress in sustainability management is also reflected in independent assessments. For example, Leadec was awarded the EcoVadis Gold Medal for the second consecutive year in 2025. In the CDP rating, Leadec improved its score in the climate change category from C to B. At the same time, the company confirmed its B- rating in the Supplier Engagement Assessment, thereby underscoring its commitment to greater sustainability throughout the supply chain.

In the area of occupational safety, Leadec continued its positive trend. The lost-time injury frequency rate fell to 0.7 per million working hours. This figure is significantly below the industry average and represents the lowest LTI rate in Leadec’s history.

Focus on BESS

“Demand for solutions in energy efficiency, energy storage, and the circular economy is growing steadily. Key drivers include rising energy costs, the electrification of industrial processes, and increasing requirements for sustainable business practices. We have consistently expanded our portfolio and expertise to support our customers even more effectively,” says Markus Bölke, Global Head of Green Factory Solutions, Sustainability & HSE at Leadec.

One example is battery energy storage systems (BESS) for industrial customers, which store excess energy from renewable sources and make it available again when needed. This helps reduce peak loads, optimize energy costs, and improve the integration of renewable energy into production. Leadec supports customers from the planning and installation of BESS projects through commissioning to maintenance and long-term plant operation.

New sustainability goals through 2030

In conjunction with the publication of its sustainability report, Leadec has defined new sustainability goals through 2030. The “Climate Transition Plan” includes clear targets for reducing emissions, promoting health and workplace safety, improving sustainability performance in the supply chain, and creating sustainable value for customers, employees, and business partners.
