Leadec strengthens activities in Angers and its region

Stuttgart/Germany, Angers/France, 07/27/2023 – To further expand its business, Leadec established a new site for Western France (Ouest France) in July. In Saint-Barthélemy-d'Anjou, the company has rented a hall of more than 12,000 m2 to set up a packaging handling center for a commercial vehicle manufacturer.

“Our preparations are in full swing to provide logistics and maintenance services for various distribution units from the shop floor in this new center from mid-September. The Packaging Handling Center complements our activities on the customer’s factory premises for whom we have already been working in Germany since 2006 and whom we are now also supporting in Angers,” explains Ulrich Haas, Managing Director of Leadec France. In total, a team of around 70 will be working at the two sites, with some positions still vacant.

Service specialist for factories

Through the newly established site in Saint-Barthélemy-d’Anjou, Leadec sees opportunities to win new customers in the Pays de Loire, Brittany, and Normandy regions. Of particular interest to the company are the food and beverage and the aerospace industries.

As a service specialist for factories, Leadec operates in more than 300 locations worldwide, often directly in customers’ plants. “We attach great importance to always being close to our customers as a local partner. With our regional office in Western France, we can work even more closely together and also develop new offerings for production sites in this dynamic industrial region,” adds Ulrich Haas.

Leadec has been supporting its customers in the automotive and manufacturing industries along the entire production supply chain for more than 60 years. Around 22,000 employees ensure that the customers’ production processes run smoothly. In France, the initial focus is on technical facility management and production equipment maintenance. Emphasis is placed in particular on sustainability in production, electric vehicles and smart factory solutions.
