AI-Based Pick-and-Place Solution for Empties Management

Approximately 12,000 small load carriers (SLCs) are sorted, inspected, and prepared for further use daily in the returnable container management process at the Kölleda site. Leadec has developed an automated pick-and-place solution for this purpose. Now, cobot "Kalle" equipped with AI-based image recognition assists in sorting and stacking the small load carriers, improving process stability and reducing the workload on employees.
