Lennart’s journey: from dual student to team leader
How would you summarize your career at Leadec so far, Lennart?
Looking back, my start at Leadec as a student and at the same time junior project manager was a real win-win situation. I was able to gain practical experience in operations and study at the same time. After supporting a few projects directly at the sites, I was taken on by Leadec at the end of my studies. I then gave training courses myself on the further development of project processes, and I have now been a team leader for two years.

How could you reconcile your studies and work?
It was intense, of course. But I was able to apply my theoretical knowledge directly in practice. For example, I wrote part of my master’s thesis on the plane on the way back to Germany from a project in the USA. You can’t get much closer to the business than that. I have always found the practical on-the-job trainings at the sites together with the managers and the exchange of experience with colleagues very helpful.
You know the situation as a newcomer at Leadec. What advice can you give to other new employees at Leadec?
Take on challenges proactively and don’t let responsibility scare you off. For new and unfamiliar topics, there is support from direct colleagues, the manager, or adjacent departments.
