“We Want to Showcase What Leadec UK Has to Offer”
Tony, you’ve been Managing Director of Leadec UK since June 2025. What experience do you bring to the role?
I’ve worked in FM services for many years, with positions in the UK, France, and the Middle East always with a focus on total facilities management and project. These international experiences have shown me how important it is to understand the specific needs of customers from different cultures and industries, and to develop tailored solutions for them.
How do you currently assess the FM Services market for industrial services in the UK?
The market is evolving. Sustainability and environmental issues are becoming increasingly important. At the same time, many companies are striving to focus more sharply on their core business, which is where service providers like Leadec come in. Our approach to Integrated Facilities Management plays a key role here, as we bundle services across different areas. We’re seeing major shifts in the automotive industry, driven by global conditions and changes in production processes. And like in many other sectors, the shortage of skilled workers remains a significant challenge which Leadec is addressing with increased apprenticeships across many roles there is also a rapid increase in the use of new technologies such as IoT which is driving a need for better data analysis.
What’s important to you as the new Managing Director?
Leadec has an incredible wealth of know-how and knowledge from within the Manufacturing and Industry sector which we want to leverage into other sectors and markets which value our services. Our strategy is one of diversification into new markets as well as building our service offering. Therefore, we’re continuing to expand our full range of facility management services. Our advantage is that we’re not just a facility management provider—we’re true factory and logistics experts.
Where do you see growth potential for Leadec?
When it comes to services, definitely in the area of Green Factory Solutions. There’s a lot we can achieve from energy management to our market leading waste management solutions. We already bring a great deal of hands-on experience to the table. We’re also seeing strong growth in e-commerce, which means we’re looking to position our logistics and warehousing services more strategically. Automation and electrical installation are also becoming increasingly important. Here, we’re relying heavily on the expertise of our subsidiary Elmleigh. Of course, the automotive industry will continue to be a key sector for us but we’re capable of much more, and we intend to prove it.
What are your plans for Leadec UK in the coming months?
We aim to increase our sales efforts and target sectors which value the services we deliver and where there are natural synergies. At the same time, we’ll continue to focus on services for the manufacturing sector growing the service lines we offer. Another key priority is developing our people: we’re investing in their training and professional growth to build the next generation of facility management experts. That’s the foundation for our long-term success.
