In the processing of your personal data, the provisions of the EU GDPR and the (new) German Federal Data Protection Act as well as all other applicable data protection provisions are complied with. The legal basis for data processing is especially yielded from Art. 6 of the EU GDPR.

As industrial services specialists, we use your data for generating business leads, fulfilling contractual and legal obligations, performance of the contract, offering products and services, and strengthening customer relationships, which can also include analysis for marketing purposes and direct advertising.

Your consent also constitutes a permissibility requirement according to data protection law. We will inform you of the purposes of data processing and your right to withdraw your consent. If the consent also relates to processing of special categories of personal data, we will explicitly point this out to you in the consent statement (Art. 88(1) of the EU GDPR in conjunction with §26(3) of the German Federal Data Protection Act (new)).

Processing of special categories of personal data in the sense given in Art. 9(1) of the EU GDPR will only occur if it is required by law and there is no reason to believe that your protection-worthy interest in exclusion of processing overrides it (Art. 88(1) of the EU GDPR in conjunction with §26(3) of the German Federal Data Protection Act (new)). Data processing based on legitimate interests currently does not take place.

Obligation to supply data

Various personal data are necessary for the establishment, performance, and ending of the contract and the fulfillment of the associated contractual and legal obligations. This also applies to the use of our website and the various features it makes available.

In some cases, data must be collected or made available pursuant to legal provisions. Please note that it is not possible to process your query or achieve performance of the underlying contract if these data are not supplied.

Automated individual decision making

We currently do not use purely automated processing processes for making decisions.

Data categories, sources, and origin

The context determines the data we process: This depends on, e.g., whether you are entering a query in our contact form, sending a query, or submitting a job application, etc. Please note that we may also supply information at suitable places for special processing situations, e.g., uploading of application documents.

When you visit our website, we collect and process the following data:

  • Name of Internet Service Provider (ISP);

  • IP address assigned by your ISP;

  • Information (including date and time) about the pages retrieved by you on our website.

For reasons of technical security (especially protection from hacking attempts), these data are stored in accordance with Art. 6(1)(f) of the EU GDPR. After seven days at the latest, anonymization takes place through truncation of the IP address so that no reference to the user can be established. Please also heed the separate information on use of web tracking tools and social media plug-ins below.

When you contact us with a query, we collect and process the following data:

Name, contact data (e.g., e-mail address), and information on your wishes and interests. Please heed the separate information on contacting us with queries.

For advertising purposes, we use the following data:

When you submit an online application, we collect and process the following data:

Please heed the specific privacy policies that we make available to applicants in a suitable place, not in this document.

Data recipients/categories of data recipients

Within our company, we ensure that only those people who require your data to fulfill contractual and legal obligations receive your data. Data transfer within the Group is carried out in harmony with the applicable laws; this also applies to international data transfer.

In addition, our departments are supported by external service providers in fulfillment of their tasks. The contracts required in accordance with data protection laws have been signed with all service providers who process personal (customer, interested party, employee, and applicant) data on our behalf.

Transfer to third countries/intent to transfer to third countries

Transfer of data to third countries (outside the European Union and the European Economic Area) only takes place if this is required for performance of the contract, if it is prescribed by law, or if you have given us consent to do so. Maintaining of the data protection level is primarily ensured through the corresponding data protection contract.

Personal data are transferred both to external service providers and to Group or associated companies in the group of companies, some of which are located outside the European Economic Area, e.g., in the US, Brazil, India, or China. An overview of Leadec locations can be viewed on our homepage.

Transfer to third parties

We will only pass on your data to third parties within the scope of the legal provisions or with the corresponding consent. Otherwise, we will not pass on your data to third parties unless we are under a legal obligation to do so (disclosure to external bodies such as supervisory authorities or law enforcement authorities).

Data retention duration

We store your data as long as they are required for the respective processing purpose. Please note that numerous retention requirements necessitate further storage of data. This especially applies to retention obligations according to commercial or tax law (e.g., commercial code, tax code, etc.).

As long as no further retention obligations exist, the data are routinely deleted after the purpose has been fulfilled. Otherwise, data will only be stored for longer periods in certain cases, for example, if you have granted permission to us to do so or if information is required as evidence in legal disputes. Please also take into account statutory limitation periods, which can be up to 30 years; the normal limitation period is three years.

Secure transmission of your data

We take the appropriate technical and organizational safety measures for optimally protecting the data saved by us from accidental or deliberate manipulation, loss, destruction, or access by unauthorized persons. The security levels are continuously reviewed and adapted to new security standards in collaboration with security experts.

Data exchange from and to our website is performed using encryption. For our website, we offer the HTTPS transfer protocol using the respectively latest encryption protocols. In addition, we offer our users content encryption for contact forms and job applications. Alternative communication channels (e.g., regular mail) can also be used.

Contact form/queries

Our website provides a contact form that can be used for electronic contact purposes. If you write us via the contact form, we will process the data given in the contact form in order to contact you and respond to your questions and requests.

The principle of data minimization and data avoidance is followed here in that you only have to provide the information that we absolutely need for contacting you. This information is your name, your e-mail address and the message field itself.

Your IP address is also processed for technical reasons and for legal protection purposes. All remaining data fields are voluntary and can be optionally completed (e.g., so that we can respond more precisely to your questions).

If you contact us by e-mail, we will process the personal data you communicate to us in the e-mail solely for the purpose of processing your query. If you do not use the offered forms for contacting us, no further data collection will take place.

Cookies

In the following section, we will describe how cross-device site optimization works. Our website uses so-called cookies in several places. These cookies serve to make our offering more user-friendly, effective, and secure. Cookies are small text files that are placed and saved on your device.

Using these cookies, we can analyze how users use our websites. This allows us to design the website content according to visitors’ needs. Cookies also enable us to measure the effectiveness of specific ads and place them, e.g., according to the subjects that users are interested in.

The legal basis for this is formed by Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR.

We use the following cookies:

First-party cookies:

These cookies are directly controlled by Leadec. Depending on the purpose, they remain permanently stored (so-called persistent cookies, e.g., implementation of opt-out) – even after the session has ended – or are deleted when the browser is closed (so-called session cookies, which are only valid for the duration of the browser session).

Third-party cookies:

These cookies are controlled by third-party providers. Third-party providers are providers that display banner ads, especially for Leadec, on other websites. They use cookies, e.g., to transmit the information that a banner displayed by you has led to a sale (e.g., conversion tracking).

So-called temporary/permanent cookies, which are automatically deleted after a given time (usually six months), are used here. These temporary or permanent cookies are stored on your device and are deleted automatically after the given time has elapsed. The cookies from our partner firms also only contain pseudonymized data, usually even anonymous data. They allow our partners to track the products you viewed, whether any products were purchased, the products that were searched for, etc. Some of our advertising partners also record, in addition to information on the webpages, information on the pages you visited previously or the products, e.g., you were interested in. In this way, it is possible to display personalized ads. These pseudonymized data are never merged with your personal data.

Most browsers accept cookies automatically. Of course, you can also manually disable, restrict, or delete cookies on your device via your browser settings or with the help of software.

Please note: If you deactivate cookies, you may not be able to use all of the features of our website.

Google Analytics

Based on our legitimate interests (i.e. interest in analysis, optimization and cost-efficient operation of our online services within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f. GDPR) we use content or services from third party providers on our website.

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Irland (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website will generally be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Due to the IP anonymization feature that has been activated on this website Google will shorten your IP address within the member states of the European Union or other parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area prior to transmission. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address sent to a Google server in the US and shortened there. Google will use this information on behalf of the operator of this website to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity, and to provide other services regarding website activity and Internet usage for the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with any other data held by Google.

Sessions and campaigns end after a specific amount of time passes. By default, sessions end after 30 minutes of inactivity and campaigns end after six months. Personal data of users will be deleted or anonymized after 14 months. More detailed information about terms of use and data privacy is available at the following links: https://www.google.com/analytics/terms/en.html and https://policies.google.com/?hl=en.

You can prevent storage of these cookies by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser. However, we wish to point out that doing so may mean you will not be able to enjoy the full functionality of this website.

You can also prevent the data generated by cookies about your use of the website (incl. your IP address) from being passed on to Google, and the processing of these data by Google, by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en.”

As an alternative to the browser add-on or when using browsers on mobile devices, please click this link to prevent the collection of data by Google Analytics on this website in the future:

By opting out, an opt-out cookie will be stored on your device. If you delete your cookies, you will have to click this link again.

Please note that on this website, the code “gat._anonymizeIp” is added to Google Analytics to ensure an anonymized collection of IP addresses (so called IP masking). We also use Google Analytics to evaluate data from AdWords and the DoubleClick cookie (see Google Adwords and DoubleClick) as well as data from the Google advertising functions for purely statistical purposes. If this is not desired, you may deactivate it via the Ads Preferences Manager (https://www.google.com/settings/ads or https://www.google.com/settings/ads/onweb/?hl=en).

Google also processes your personal data in the USA and is certified under the EU-US Privacy Shield Framework, https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework.

Our website also contains clearly recognizable links to websites of other companies. Insofar as links to websites of other providers exist, we have no influence over the content. Hence, we also cannot accept any responsibility or liability for this content. The respective site providers or operators are always responsible for the content of these sites. At the time of linking, the linked sites were examined for possible violations and identifiable breaches. No unlawful content could be identified at the time of linking. However, without concrete grounds for suspecting a violation of the law, it is not possible to monitor the content of the linked sites on a permanent basis. If we become aware of violations, we will immediately remove the associated links.

Google Ads Conversion (formerly Google AdWords Conversion)

This website uses the online advertising program Google Ads from Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”). As part of Google Ads, we use so-called conversion tracking.

When you click on an ad served by Google, a conversion tracking cookie is set. Google delivers these ads through so-called ad servers. Cookies are small text files that are stored on the internet browser of the user's computer. These cookies expire after 30 days and are not used for personal identification of the user. If the user visits certain pages on this website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and we can recognize that the user clicked on the ad and was directed to this page. Each Google Ad customer receives a different cookie. Thus, cookies cannot be tracked using the websites of Google Ads customers. The information obtained using the conversion cookies is used to create conversion statistics for Google Ads customers who have opted for conversion tracking. Each of the customers obtains information about the total number of users who clicked on the customer’s ad and were directed to a page with a conversion tracking tag. However, the customers do not receive any information allowing them to identify users personally. Through the certification according to the EU-US Data Privacy Shield (“EU-US Privacy Shield”)

https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt000000001L5AAI&status=Active

Google guarantees that the EU data protection guidelines are also observed when data are processed in the USA.

Conversion cookies are stored based on Art. 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analyzing user behavior to optimize its online services and its advertisements. If you registered for a Google service, Google can allocate your visit to your account.

For more information about Google Ads and Google conversion tracking, please see Google’s data privacy regulations: https://www.google.de/policies/privacy/

You may opt out of tracking: By selecting the appropriate settings in your browser, you can be notified of these cookies being stored and can only accept cookies on a case-by-case basis, only accept certain types of cookies or not accept them at all and choose to automatically delete cookies when closing your browser. When deactivating cookies, you may not be able to enjoy the full functionality of this website.

You can also install the plug-in provided by Google by following this link: https://www.google.com/settings/ads/plugin

Google Remarketing

Our website uses the Google Ads Remarketing service to advertise this website in Google search results and on third party websites. This service is provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland ("Google”). For this purpose, Google places a cookie in the browser on your device. This cookie automatically enables personalized advertising via a pseudonymized cookie ID and on the basis of the pages you visited.

Through the certification according to the EU-US Data Privacy Shield (“EU-US Privacy Shield”),

https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt000000001L5AAI&status=Active

Google Ad Manager (formerly DoubleClick Ad Exchange)

If Google Ad Manager, an online advertising service from Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”), places ads on this website (text ads, banners, etc.), your browser may store a cookie sent by Google Inc. or a third party. The information collected with the cookie may be recorded, collected and analyzed by Google Inc. or third parties.

Furthermore, Google Ad Manager may also use so-called (re)marketing tags (invisible graphics, also called web beacons) to collect information. For example, they can be used to record and analyze visitor traffic on the website.

Processing takes place on the basis of our legitimate interest in optimally marketing our website pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) of the GDPR; you can assert your rights as a data subject at any time.

The information created about your use of this website generated by the cookie and/or the (re)marketing tag may also be transferred to and stored by a Google server in the USA.

If you registered for a Google service, Google can allocate your visit to your account.

You may opt out of tracking: By selecting the appropriate settings in your browser, you can be notified of these cookies being stored and can only accept cookies on a case-by-case basis, only accept certain types of cookies or not accept them at all and choose to automatically delete cookies when closing your browser. Google Tag Manager

This website uses Google Tag Manager. This service allows administration of website tags through an interface. Google Tag Manager only implements tags, which means that cookies are not used and personal data is not recorded. Google Tag Manager triggers other tags that may record data; however, Google Tag Manager does not access this data. If an deactivation was implemented on the domain or cookie level, all tracking tags will remain deactivated provided they are implemented with Google Tag Manager.

Google Maps

Our website uses Google Maps (API) from Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Irland ("Google”). Google Maps is a web service that shows interactive maps to visually present geographical information. When using Google Maps, you will see our site and the information will make travel to our office easier.

Information about your use of our website (such as your IP address) is already transferred to and stored by Google servers in the USA when visiting subpages where the map provided by Google Maps is embedded. This occurs regardless of whether Google provides a user account where you are logged in or if there is no user account. When you are logged into Google, your data will be assigned to your account directly. If you do not wish Google to make this assignment to your profile, you must log out before activating this button. Google stores your data as a usage profile (also for users who are not logged in) and analyzes it. This analysis is carried out in particular pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR based on the legitimate interest of Google to display personalized advertisements, market research and/or user-oriented design of its website. You have a right to object to creating this user profile; however, you will have to contact Google to exercise this right.

Google LLC headquartered in the USA is certified under the EU–US Privacy Shield Framework, which ensures compliance with the level of data protection applicable in the EU.

If you do not consent to the future transmission of your data to Google when using Google Maps, you also have the option to completely deactivate the web service of Google Maps by turning off the JavaScript application in your browser. In this case, Google Maps and the service to display maps on this website cannot be used.

Please visit http://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/terms/regional.html to review Google’s conditions of use, and the additional conditions of use for Google Maps can be found at https://www.google.com/intl/en_US/help/terms_maps.html

For detailed information about data protection in connection with the use of Google Maps, please visit Google’s website ("Google Privacy Policy"): http://www.google.com/intl/en/policies/privacy/

Incorporation of third party services and content

Based on our legitimate interests (i.e. interest in analysis, optimization and cost-efficient operation of our online services within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f. GDPR) we use content or services from third party providers on our website.

This always requires that the third-party providers of this content receive the IP address of the users, since without the IP address they could not send the content to their browser. The IP address is therefore required for the display of this content. We attempt to use only the contents whose respective providers use the IP address solely for the delivery of the contents. Third-party providers may also use so-called pixel tags (invisible graphics, also known as "web beacons") for statistical or marketing purposes. Pixel tags can be used to evaluate information such as visitor traffic on the pages of this website.

This information may also be stored in cookies on the user's device and may include technical information about the browser and operating system, referring websites, visiting time and other information about the use of our online services, as well as be linked to such information from other sources.

Integration of videos through YouTube

We are using videos from the “YouTube” platform from the provider Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Irland, on our website. The videos were embedded with a privacy-enhanced mode. When embedding videos with the privacy-enhanced mode cookies that record user behavior for personalizing video playback will not be set. However, the privacy-enhanced mode only applies to the recording of user behavior, not to the serving of ads.

When you visit our site, a device ID is created in the local storage of your web browser and stored even after the session ends; when you visit our website you also connect to the Google DoubleClick network. Additional data processing operations may also be triggered when you start the video. We do not have any influence over this. When you are logged into Google, your data will be directly allocated to your account. If you do not wish YouTube to create a link to your profile, you have to log out before activating the video. YouTube stores your data as a user profile and uses it for advertising and marketing purposes and/or for designing its website based on user needs. Such an analysis is used in particular (even for users who are not logged in) to provide user-oriented advertising and to inform other users of the social network of your activities on our website. You have the right to opt-out of such a user profile being created; however, you have to contact YouTube to exercise your rights.

Opt-out: https://adssettings.google.com/authenticated
