Asra’s Journey: Growing Responsibility

Asra has been responsible for various financial topics at Leadec in England since 2019. The opportunity for personal development is a high priority for her.

Asra, how would you describe your journey at Leadec so far?

When I started out, I handled reports, analysis, database maintenance, and gathered documents for corporate audits. During these activities, I quickly recognized where manual activities could be avoided, and processes could be streamlined accordingly. So I contributed and got more responsibility as a result.

What has pushed you on your journey so far?

Working with the team and with the managers, in turn, encouraged me to keep asking questions, to actively offer my support, and thus ultimately to take on more responsibility. At the same time, Leadec provided support for my additional qualification, e.g., tailoring my role to align my work with my studies.

What advice would you give to other employees regarding their journey?

Take every opportunity that comes your way; ask yourself and also your superiors “What can I do, what can I contribute to the success?” In our day-to-day work, there are so many processes that can be tackled and developed, and this is where it helps to simply communicate clearly what you want to do as well.
