Career Opportunities Right from the Start

Starting a career at Leadec means taking on responsibility early, gaining hands-on experience, and getting to know different areas of the company. There is more than one path to get started: apprenticeships, dual study programs, and working student positions offer different opportunities to combine theory and build valuable skills for the future.

The stories of Liam Henry James Terry, Benedict Beck, and Heera Prabhulinga Gowda demonstrate just how varied the path to joining Leadec can be and what development opportunities it offers.

From apprenticeship straight into the workplace

Leadec currently employs more than 70 apprentices across eleven different professions at 17 locations in Germany. For Liam Henry James Terry, the journey began in 2023 with an apprenticeship as a metalworker specializing in structural engineering at the Garbsen site. From the very beginning, the apprenticeship gave him insight into a wide range of tasks and responsibilities. In addition to working in the workshops, he was involved in various customer projects, such as the installation and dismantling of machines and filtration systems or the installation of fire escapes. In this way, he gained experience in a variety of projects even during his apprenticeship and built up a broad range of technical expertise.

“I’m grateful that I chose this job and Leadec as my employer. What I particularly appreciate is the opportunity to grow and the active support provided along the way. Thanks to the experience I gained during my apprenticeship on various client projects, I am now able to take on a wide range of tasks,” says Liam. After graduating in 2026, he was offered a permanent position as a metalworker specializing in structural engineering. Looking ahead, he sees further development opportunities at Leadec, with becoming a master craftsman being one possible next step.

Dual study program with insights across the company

A dual study program also closely combines theory and practice. Benedict Beck completed a dual study program in business administration with a focus on industry at Leadec. During his practical phases, he rotated through various departments and worked at on-site at a customer location.

As part of the team for Leadec.os, Leadec’s digital business platform, Benedict worked with colleagues from various countries, gaining experience in an international project environment. Among other things, he visited locations in Portugal and Spain, where he was involved in implementing an interface between Leadec.os and a subcontractor’s system. “I particularly enjoyed the variety of tasks and the close collaboration between the different departments. I learned how important communication is and how exciting it is to work with Leadec colleagues from abroad and gain insight into different ways of working,” says Benedict.

After graduating, he joined the company directly as a Junior Project Manager in product management. In this role, he oversees and manages the bidding processes for new projects, coordinates collaboration across various departments, and develops tailored concepts for customer-specific requirements. At the same time, he continues to invest in his personal and professional development. “Through my part-time MBA program, I want to expand my knowledge and prepare myself as effectively as possible for new challenges,” says Benedict.

From a working student position to a permanent role

For Heera Prabhulinga Gowda, her journey at Leadec began while she was pursuing her master’s degree in information technology at the University of Stuttgart. As a working student, she contributed to Salesforce projects and gained practical experience. She particularly valued the opportunity to work on specific tasks while continuously expanding her technical expertise. After graduating, she transitioned to a full-time position as a Junior HR IT Developer in March 2026. Today, she develops integration solutions that connect diverse business systems and enable the reliable flow of data and processes across the organization. In this role, she works closely with internal teams and customers.

“Starting your career after college can be challenging, but Leadec has provided me with an environment where I could learn, grow, and gradually take on more responsibility,” says Heera. Looking ahead, she aims to deepen her technical expertise further. In the long term, her goal is to serve as a bridge between technology and business needs, translating complex requirements into innovative, practical solutions.
