Out of Downtime

The plant shutdowns around the world are what moves us all. Leadec is usually active in over 300 factories worldwide. In factories that are currently closed and in plants that are already in the ramp-up phase again. Therefore, we know the whole range of challenges that manufacturing companies face. And together with our customers we develop new solutions for this special situation.

“The current shutdown presents our customers with major challenges,” says Dr. Christoph Jaschinski, Head of Global Business Development at Leadec. This begins with the practical implementation of the new hygiene requirements, continues with concepts for workplace design and line balancing and extends to internal supply chain management and the start-up of machines after the unplanned plant closure.

Individual packages for a quick restart

Leadec has combined special services regarding production restart in service packages called “Plant Restart Support Services (PRSS).” For example, they comprise special hygiene and disinfection services, the sterilization of isolation rooms in the factories, the reorganization of workstations in the production area and line balancing to create the required minimum distances, the planning and adjustment of the material supply and in-house supply chain management as well as special technical cleaning and maintenance services for air supply systems and machines.

Services across industries

The PRSS packages are aimed at the automotive industry as well as other industrial companies who, in connection with the restart, meet the requirements, protect their employees in the best possible way and at the same time want to work efficiently. “This crisis is a chance to exchange and broaden experience and competences. Our promise 'We love your factory' applies even more so in these times,” says Dr. Jaschinski.
