Anagha’s Journey: from administrator to Assistant General Manager – HR & Admin

Your journey, Anagha, is characterized mainly by different activities. You probably never got bored?!
My area of responsibility in HR was and is very broad, and there was a lot to do at the newly established corporate office in Pune, India – from central HR work to the design of the office. During that time, I directly addressed important issues such as policy framing regulations and potential savings in insurance, Compensation structure framings etc. Now, I and my team are responsible for all HR issues relating to more than 3,000 employees.
What has been particularly memorable for you on your journey so far?
Above all, the openness and trust placed in me. I have always been given the opportunity to explore new areas, tackle new challenges and work on new projects in Recruitment. The team here – both HR colleagues and colleagues from other departments – in India and the bond have always been part of my professional and personal journey. What also motivates me is working with people in other countries in a global company. Considering my passion towards work and openness to accept new challenges, management always placed new opportunities on my platter.
Based on your experience, what advice can you give to new employees?
Don’t be reverent when it comes to hierarchies. Be active in looking for opportunities to demonstrate your skills. And if none present themselves, ask for them yourself, get involved.
