“The growth targets we want to achieve by 2022 are ambitious. The expansion of our automation and engineering activities will play a major role in this. That is why we will focus on these two global service lines in the new Global Automation & Engineering Business Unit. We expect great opportunities for growth worldwide in these areas, both organically and through acquisitions,” Markus Glaser-Gallion, CEO of the Leadec Group, explains.
From January 1, 2019, the Automation units in Germany and the Czech Republic and the Manufacturing Engineering division in Germany, the Czech Republic, China and North America will be part of the new Global Automation & Engineering Business Unit.
Leadec currently generates about one third of its sales with projects in the Install cluster, including electrical installations, automation and disassembly and reassembly of complete production lines or individual production equipment. The project business is to be expanded further as a global interdisciplinary function under the new business unit’s umbrella. Strengthening the technical expertise in this area will complement Leadec's core business with on-site services. Leadec provides services such as production equipment maintenance, facility management and internal logistics at more than 200 customer locations.
As the CEO Global Automation & Engineering, Dr. Achim Agostini will report directly to the Leadec Board of Management and he will become a member of the extended management board, the Global Board of Management. He joins Leadec from ThyssenKrupp System Engineering.
